Leadership in schools

PurpleLily’s focus on “Essential training to inspire and empower women” also extends to young women in our Special Project – “Leadership in Schools”

PurpleLily has been involved in facilitating workshops in 2 Government Schools in Kuching. The participants were girls from Gr 10- 11 (forms 4 -5 in the Malaysian Educational System). The workshops were designed to introduce the concepts of Leadership, Goal setting and Self-Confidence.

As part of the workshop, PurpleLily highlighted the achievements of many successful Malaysian women who could inspire the girls.

At some stage in their lives all these girls will have an opportunity to lead, whether it be a sports team, the school prefect in their class, within the family, or within an organisation or their community

Purple Lily was proud to be involved with these girls who demonstrated so much potential.

“I really appreciated what you shared today. It’s so meaningful for us.” Leadership workshop participant.

“Purple Lily’s workshop here at SM Sains Kuching provided an opportunity for our female students to focus on their futures in a realistic and thought provoking way; allowing them to take ownership of their life goals and develop strategies to build their confidence and use strategies to maintain a focus which will serve them throughout their lives. I received a lot of positives and promising responses from my students. Thank you Purple Lily.” Salbiah Seman, Principal, SMS Kuching.
