In collaboration with a small local NGO “The Champions”, Ginette and her team delivered 2 Financial Management workshops to students from various Universities in Kuching. We had 45 students boys & girls who participated to the event. Most of the students get loans to pursue their studies, but unfortunately have limited skills to manage their money, do a budget or understand how interest rates on loans work.
We focussed on:
- Tracking expenses
- Decide on a saving goal
- Cash flow (Needs versus Want)
- Plan a budget
- Saving Strategy (emergency fund and future)
- Tips to be money wise
- Avoid scams
The feedback was very positive and the students found the workshops very beneficial.
